Mick Waters  

Mick Waters works with the schools in several parts of the UK and abroad to develop extended and innovative approaches to learning.

During his career, Mick has been a teacher and head teacher before working at senior levels in Birmingham and Manchester and at a national level as Director of Curriculum. Over several years he has been asked to work in countries across the globe either with national governments or directly with schools to develop revised policy and practice for leadership, governance and classroom teaching.

Recently for the Welsh Government, Mick chaired an Independent Review of School Teachers' Pay and Conditions with proposals for teachers' careers and professional learning. He has also conducted a government review on the induction of newly qualified teachers. The report is called 'Learning to Be a Teacher in Wales'.

Mick is a patron of Values Based Education of SAPERE, promoting Philosophy for Children in learning. He is also a patron of the Curriculum Foundation, promoting the power and potential of the whole curriculum. Mick supports the National Association for Environmental Education as a vice president and is vice chair of the CoEd Foundation promoting compassionate education.

He has written and contributed to many books on the curriculum, teaching and learning, and leadership, as well as making presentations at numerous national and international conferences. Latest books include, 'About Our Schools: Improving on Previous Best' written with Tim Brighouse, as well as 'The Curious Curriculum', written with Claire Banks, both published in 2022

Dr. Bill Snaith  

Bill is a successful Organisational Development Consultant combining his extensive practical experience at Director level across many industries with his academic knowledge. Focussing on strategic business development, Bill believes in developing the whole organisation through strategy, structure, systems, staff skills, and culture, to enable a business to grow effectively.

Bill has enjoyed a diverse career, beginning in IT where he engineered organisational changes developing innovative systems to achieve impact, resulting in his first Director role responsible for IT integration. Bill moved to Durham University Business School rising to a role as Director of the Management Development Centre. At Durham, Bill harvested the best practices in organisational and people development, and so after Durham, became an owner/partner of a consultancy firm working with companies in UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Australia.

Bill has a Doctorate in Business Administration focussing on Strategic Decision making, a MSc (Distinction) Business Project Management, and a BA(Hons) Mathematics & Computing. Bill is also a Chartered Engineer, a Chartered Information Technology Professional, and is qualified in Psychometric assessment.

Bill has; designed, written, and delivered MA degrees in Business Management, and Leadership & Management in Education, authored a business management book published by the Financial Times, and two financial management textbooks for the Chartered Management Institute. As an Academy Ambassador, Bill is currently mentoring 3 MAT CEOs, and working strategically with 7 MATs. Bill is also Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of the 'Percy Hedley Foundation'. Returning to IT, Bill is now also developing Apps for the Apple Mac Store, and Windows Store.

AS an associate school working with Cheshire Academies Trust, they have collaborated to provide support to our SEND teams as well as to provide guidance on provision and share their specialist knowledge.
