Claire joined Cheshire Academies Trust as the Finance Officer for Mill View Primary School in 2019 before becoming the Academy Business Manager in 2020. Prior to this Claire spent fifteen years in Financial Services in the roles of both Project and Operations Manager where creative thinking, problem solving, hard work and determination were key to the success of her role.
As Academy Business Manager, Claire is responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of all aspects of the school including premises, HR, administration and health and safety. She also works closely with the School Leadership and Central Trust Team to accurately plan and control the school budget. Claire enjoys the breadth and diversity that the role offers and is particularly proud to have been an integral part of the team responsible for opening the Little Wren's nursery at Mill View Primary in April 2022.
Diane started her time working within Cheshire Academies Trust in 2011 as the Bursar in Boughton Heath Academy. She was then recruited into the Trusts' Central Team in 2017, where she has worked as the Trust Business Manager ever since. Prior to joining the education sector, Diane worked for various police authorities around the country and has many years' experience in public sector finance.
Diane works closely with the Academy Business Managers to manage operational finances within the Trust and is proud to be working with such a committed team of school business professionals.
Nathan began working at Cheshire Academies Trust in March 2022 as the Payroll and Finance Officer for the Trust's Central team. He is an Accounting and Finance graduate with previous experience working within education payroll gained at Cheshire West and Chester Council.
Nathan interfaces with both the central team and the Academy Business Managers to maintain the smooth operation of the finance responsibilities.
Becky joined Cheshire Academies Trust in April 2022 as Academy Business Manager in Bexton Primary School. Prior to this she had over seven years' experience in an Academy Primary School, who were themselves part of a large Primary/Secondary Multi-Academy Trust. Becky hit the ground running using her operational knowledge and experience of academies in a multi-academy trust, to her advantage.
Becky's strengths lie within human resources and people management and she is keen to offer her working knowledge of the conversion process with her peers who may be working in schools considering becoming an academy. She describes the working environment in Cheshire Academies Trust as 'really supportive'. Becky enjoys the process of collaborative working across schools as it helps create a positive team environment, and makes the transition from working in one school to another very easy.
Amanda started her time working within Cheshire Academies Trust in 2017 as the Finance Officer in Kelsall Primary School before becoming the Academy Business Manager in 2020. Prior to joining the education sector in 2016, she worked as a Commercial Manager and has over fifteen years' experience in Business Management and HR. Amanda has a Diploma in Business and Professional Administration.
Amanda works closely with the School Leadership Team and the Trust's Central Team to provide budget and HR information to the Governing Body. Amanda is proud of school developments and is committed to delivering future aspirational plans.
Anne has experience of working within independent and state education in a variety of roles including admissions, examinations, finance and administration.
Having previously worked at Boughton Heath Academy, she was delighted to return to Cheshire Academies Trust in October 2021 as the Academy Business Manager.
Anne enjoys the variety of this very busy role and welcomes the learning opportunities it brings. She is committed to the strong teamwork ethic that is so much a part of Boughton Heath, and its community, as well as being key to achieving the aims and objectives of the school.
Fiona has over 20 years' experience working in a busy Primary School Office. She has been through academisation and progressed to working within the Central Finance Team of a large Primary/Secondary Multi Academy Trust. Although new to the role as ABM, I have been made so welcome by the team in school and very well supported with the collaborative approach and support network offered by the Academy Finance Manager and other ABM’s. The role is varied and interesting and no two days are the same.
