Knowledge Networks 

An online shared space to access resources, planning, information about each National Curriculum subject. Curated by the staff themselves and added to by each network hub, these resources provide a one stop shop for ideas and help.

Humanities Communities

Appointed by the Trust, Katie Hetherington (CAT SLE)  leads Geography and History Networks to bring together Humanities leads to learn together, developing currurilar and pedagogy.

Learning Without Limits 

Cheshire Academies Trust and Cheshire Leadership and Teaching Alliance provides a sustained and carefully designed professional development programme underpinned by some of the best international ideas, research and evidence from around the world.

Core Communities

Our Network hubs provide the opportunity for online and face to face working for middle and subject leaders to collaborate and innovate. Chaired by Headteachers. Networks include; EYFS, Year 1, English, Mathematics, SEND.

Disadvantaged Community

This is led by the curriculum and research director, Andrea Curran. It is a half termly network meeting to discuss the latest research on working with disadvantaged and vulnerable pupils.

Research and Development Teams (Think Tanks) 

Based on need and areas of priority across the Trust, leadership teams will work to development areas of interest setting up R and D teams comprised of staff from across the Trust. The purpose of these teams is to consider the latest research from across the world, actively engage this research in the classroom and then produce a paper which summarises the findings for other staff in the Trust to attempt.

Assessment Community

The Trust assessment unit is made up of assessment leads from each school. Its primary purpose is to evaluate and continue to re-evaluate all trust mechanisms for summative and formative assessment to ensure that information provided to teachers is of the upmost reliability in order for them to adapt teaching and learning in their classrooms.

Next Gen Leaders Programme 

Next Generation Leaders programmes works with Assistant and Deputy Headteachers to build their expertise and skillset ready to become Headteachers. This includes expert Headteacher competencies, financial, HR and Legal knowledge. It also includes a visits to other schools outside of CAT.

Safeguarding Community

Led by Cheshire East Safeguarding in Education Team, we bring together Designated Safeguarding Leads to provide supervision and review of selected child protection cases to share best practice.
